Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner's Relationship Grew from Friendship

They first steamed up the screen on Melrose Place eight years ago. Now Jack Wagner and Heather Locklear have moved their relationship off-screen and were recently spotted kissing and hugging during in Malibu.

One person decidely upset by the news of the coupling is Locklear's ex-husband, Richie Sambora. Locklear and Sambora married just months after she and Wagner locked lips on Melrose Place.

"Richie was always suspicious that Heather and Jack's love scenes were a bit too passionate," says a source close to Sambora. "Now that they're dating, his paranoia seems confirmed."

However, multiple set sources deny that there was anything between the two during their Melrose days. Locklear was married to Sambora and Wagner was married at to his longtime General Hospital sweetheart, Kristina Malandro.

Antonio Sabato Jr. says the couple's relationship is a result of a longtime history of friendship. "They're able to trust each other and not have to deal with the bull that goes into meeting new people," Sabato says.
