Desperate Housewives' Doug Savant has a new spring in his step after doctors replaced his battered kneecap. The surgery ended decades of pain for the actor who had injured his knee in a football game in 1979. Savant says, "I've been bone on bone for 27 years."
The actor had undergone several previous re-constructive surgeries for his knee, but opted to get his knee completely replaced last month. He's already well on the road to recovery.
He adds, "I'm already on my feet without the use of crutches or anything."
