Bill Paxton relishes in the fact that you may recognize his face, but not necessarily know his name. He prefers to disappear into the roles he plays which include the central polygamist character in HBO's Big Love. Here's some things he wants you to know about him:
~ He admires his big love character.
Paxton says, "He has a strong moral code - he's not sneaking around. [He and his three wives] are adults who have entered into a contract and all that entails.
~ He's a big art fan.
His home is filled with oil paintings of California streets and Buster Keaton portraits. His kids, James, 13, and Lydia, 9, add to his collection with the kitchen filled up with crafts created by them. He reveals, "My wife drew a setting of the park where we first met, my daughter did a collage of her hand, and my son drew a jaguar that said, 'You're still the king of the Jungle.'"
~ He built a custom tree house for his kids.
With the help of a welder and some carpenters, he built his own tree-house design. The 14-ft-high structure includes a pulley system for the kids and sometimes Paxton himself. "It's a wonderful place to meditate," he says.
