Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary welcomed a son on Wednesday. Samuel David Cheney was born yesterday at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 6 oz. This is the first child for Cheney and her partner, Heather Poe.
"The vice president is pleased to be a grandfather for the sixth time," said his spokeswoman Megan McGinn.
