"Whale Rider" star Keisha Castle-Hughes was so upset over the controversy that erupted after she announced her pregnancy that she felt like she couldn't leave her home.
The controversy started after the Oscar nominated Castle-Hughes, announced she was expecting her first child at the age of 16.
"It hurt at the time because it's supposed to be a huge celebration. I was supposed to be able to go, 'Wow, I'm having a baby and this is amazing,'" she tells Television New Zealand.
"I felt like that I had to hide. I felt like it was bad for me to be happy about it."
Castle-Hughes admits she was shocked when she found out she and boyfriend 19-year-old Bradley Hull were expecting, but felt ready to have a child.
"If it wasn't meant to happen now, it wouldn't have happened now," she says.
She's kidding right?? If she was an adult and not a child herself, she would understand why ADULTS may have a problem with babies having babies. Buy a clue Keisha and use birth control!
