A Bahamas judge cleared the way for Larry Birkhead to leave the country with his daughter, Dannielynn. According to sources close to the situation, Birkhead will be bringing the infant home to the United States on Friday.
Howard K. Stern, who has raised the girl since her birth in September is reportedly "upset and heartbroken" and having difficulty adjusting to the thougt of being "single and on his own for the first time in many years," according to a source close to him.
Stern told Access Hollywood: "I just want Dannie to have a good life, and I'm hopeful that Larry is going to provide that for her, so it's bittersweet. It's hard, but I just want her to be as happy as she can be."
Birkhead is expected to take Dannielynn back to his hometown of Louisville, KY to meet his father who recently suffered a heart attack. After the family meeting, it is anticipated that he will return to his home in Burbank, Calif.
Stern is remaining in the Bahamas and is planning to write a book about his life with Anna Nicole Smith.
Good! I will look forward to reading Howard's book as I feel in this entire fiasco, he's really the one who knew Anna Nicole best and can provide much insight into her world. I agree - it must be terribly bittersweet for him to see Dannie leave, but it takes a very big person to give up their happiness for that of someone else.
