Janet Jackson Talks Marriage and Family

Janet Jackson is the kind of star who eternally reinvents herself. With a career in music and acting that spans over three decades, she's ready for to reintroduce herself to the public yet again.

She recently sat down with Vibe Vixen to discuss her new album and uncoming world tour as well as marriage, family, and fertility.

On marriage plans: I'd love to have a family. If marriage is something he [Jermaine Dupri] wants to do, that's fine with me. But if he doesn't, that's fine with me, too, because I'm very happy with the way it is. I've been married twice, and I haven't been successful at it. So I'm real happy to stay right where I am.

On rumors about a "secret daughter": When I was doing "Let's Wait Awhile", I used to take my neice with me. She also did a photo shoot with me with Kenny Rogers for one of his books. I'd take this neice around, and people would so that we looked alike. So they automatically assumed that she was my daughter. Honesty, I've never had any kids.

On whether she would prefer a boy or a girl: I'm more partial to boys. I think it's from being such a tomboy and growing up and hanging with my brothers.

On advice she would give her 20-year-old self: Brace yourself - because it's gonna be an incredible ride.
