Lost has been losing it's luster in the rating recently, now it's stars are feeling the impact of the shows declining popularity. Students at Matthew Fox's alma matter, Columbia, aren't interested in hearing the actor speak at the annual Columbia College Class Day.
The actor was chose to speak as a Columbia alumn because of his "achievements as an actor, his commitment to Columbia, and his ability to represent the diverse group of students who graduate from Columbia," says Columbia class president, David Chait.
The school's paper, The Columbia Spectator, reports that students are less than thrilled with the choice and quote a student as saying, "They obviously couldn't find anybody. He must have been 29th on the list."
Last year's choice was Senator, John McCain, who himself drew criticism due to his stance on the war in Iraq. Another student stated, "The years before got a Pulitzer Prize-winner and a potential presidential candidate. I suppose that after what happened last year, they wanted someone less controversial."
