Anna Nicole Smith Funeral a Financial Boom for the Bahamas

Most funerals are sedate gatherings of friends and family. Anna Nicole Smith's funeral was a three-ring circus. The media circus that followed her death in Florida packed up and moved locations for a front row seat at her going away party.

The folks in The Bahamas gated community where the services took place decided to cash in on the circus for themselves. The residents of the community decided to charge the news crews and photographers anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000 for an inside view of the memorial. It is rumored that one agency paid up to $15,000 for special access inside the grounds.

As of this afternoon Anna Nicole was laid to rest in The Bahamas close to her son Daniel despite last minute attempts by her mother to stop the funeral.
