Gwyneth Paltrow Hopes to Battle Cancer Risk Through Vegan Lifestyle

Gwyneth Paltrow has decided to fight the cancer risk her family carries by utilizing a vegan lifestyle.

Paltrow lost her father Bruce to throat cancer in 2002. She has also lost both her grandmothers and a cousin to various forms of the disease.

She says: "I am challenging these evil genes by natural means. I am convinced that by eating biological foods it is possible to avoid tumors."

Gwyneth primarily follows a macrobiotic diet consisting mainly of whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruit and vegetables.

She added: "I'm not as stringent as I was in the past. Now I'll have cheese once in a while or white flour, but I still believe in whole grains and no sugar."
