Alison Sweeney New Host of The Biggest Loser

Days of our Lives star Alison Sweeney has been named the new host of NBC's hit show, The Biggest Loser. Alison replaces Caroline Rhea who hosted the show's first three seasons.

"Alison is an incredible talent and will bring not only a great fresh face to the show but a huge, loyal fan base," said Ben Silverman, executive producer of the show. "We are thrilled and look forward to another strong season."

Sweeney has played the fan favorite role of Sami Brady on Days of our Lives since 1993, and will continue her role while hosting "The Biggest Loser."

Alison has been very vocal about her own personal struggle with her weight which she discussed candidly in her 2004 book, "All The Days of My Life (So Far)".

She credits her current slim look to the energy she burns running after her tow-year old son Ben as well as out at Boot Camp as her production schedule allows.
