Maggie Gyllenhaal Is Ready for A Night on the Town!

Maggie Gyllenhaal is ready for a night on the town with fiance Peter Sarsgaard as the two prepare for Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.

"I know there are people who are cynical about these awards things but I'm actually thrilled to go," says Maggie. "I'm excited to pick a dress, I'm excited to get dressed up, get my hair done and go."

Getting dressed up and heading out to the awards is date night for the new parents who welcomed daughter Ramona in October.

"My mom's gonna watch my daughter and I'm gonna go and I'm gonna do it right," says Gyllenhaal.

This isn't her first nomination - she was nomited four years ago for her breakout role in Secretary, but she's determined to relish the awards circuit this time around.

"I was really kind of a new, new, newbie at the time," she says of her last Globes experience. "I don't have a real strong memory of it 'cause I was just kind of so thrilled. ... It feels like such a different situation this time. It feels like I'm doing it for the first time."
