Mel B Refutes Murphy's Accusations

Mel B (aka Scary Spice) was blindsided earlier this week when former boyfriend, Eddie Murphy, declared that he wants a DNA test to determine if his is the father of her unborn child.

The couple had been dating for several months this summer before reports started circulating that Murphy had turned his attentions to film producer Tracey Edmonds. The British Sun newspaper claims that Mel B only found out that her relationship with Murphy was over via comments published by the star in the press.

The Sun goes on to say that Mel B told a friend: "There's no question that Eddie is the father of my baby. I haven't been with anyone else since I met Eddie.

"I'm shell-shocked by the whole thing. As far as I was concerned we hadn't really broken up – we'd just had a bit of a row."

Her comments follow Murphy's comments on a Dutch TV show this week, where he said: "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions."
