It's official! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married this afternoon at the Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy.The ceremony took place as the sun was going down and candles were lit along the perimeter of the 15th-century castle as limousines carrying the guests arrived through Castle the gates.
Police checkpoints were set up to prevent fans and media from getting too close.
The couple must still be married in a civil cermony in the town of Bracciano, Italy to make the marriage legal unless they opt for a civil ceremony in the US.
