Matt Lauer and Wife Annette Divorcing (Then Again Maybe Not)

"Today" show host Matt Lauer and his wife of seven years, Annette, have officially separated and she has filed for divorce. The couple had previously separated in April and reconciled earlier this year. A source tells Star magazine, "They were trying to work things out."

Annette is currently pregnant with their third child. They have a son, Jack, and a daughter, Romy. Annette officially filed for divorce on September 13 in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The source adds, "It's a pretty clean divorce - no fights, no custody disputes. They are following the pre-nup - no extreme demands or dramatic charges. Everyone's gone to great lengths to keep everything private."

Update: Not more than a few minutes after I posted this article, TMZ released a story that says that Annette did file divorce papers, but that she is withdrawing them and is no longer seeking a divorce.
