Marcia Cross on TV Guide
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Marcia Cross sat down with TV Guide to discuss her pregnancy and Desparate Housewives. Some of the highlights of the article:
** On the pregnancy she says, "It's sort of a miracle to me. I was the one who was going to be the godmother or aunt. I think everyone'd given up on me. And now this!"
** On the twins rumor, her publicist insists that the rumor is just a rumor.
** On waiting to have children, "The advantage in waiting as long as I did was I have a better understanding of myself. I'm more patient and empathic. I'm wiser, more experienced. And I think that will help me raise a child who's wiser and more concious. But, hey, I can talk til. I'm blue in the face. Until I have a screaming baby in front of me, who know's what its going to be like?"
** On gaining baby weight, "It's really hard. You're trained to stay slim, and I just find that everything's just getting rounder and rounder. But you have to surrender to it. It's a fact of nature, and it's good for the baby."
** Despite earlier rumors that the pregnancy would be written into the show, she disclosed that Bree will not be pregnant this season.
