Locals in Plan de la Tour, a 12th-Century village near St. Tropez in the south of France where the couple have own a villa, have disclosed that the couple may be planning to marry.
I have my doubts of the rumor as Depp's has often said that he is not interested in marriage. "It would be a shame to ruin her last name," he said to OK! magazine last year. "It's so perfect. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp."
A woman is not forced to take on her husbands name. Nowadays anyone is allowed to keep their maiden name if they want to. So I guess that's not the real reason for his reluctance to tie the knot... it's probably just a joke...

ReplyDeleteAh,jealousy! What a green eyed beast. I have yet to fathom why judgements are made on the basis of looks. What small hearts & minds we humans have. If the two have found happiness. Let them have it. She is beautiful to Depp. That is all that matters. There is little joy in this world. Leave them to to theirs.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think it a joke. It has been reported that the couple will wed at their villa in the south of France in a private ceremony. Plans for late 2007 Let's all wish them well!
