Jamie "The Naked Chef" Oliver has said that his wife, Jools, has told him it is time to start trying for baby number three. "I definitely want another child -not that I have a choice," laughs Jamie. The couple have two kids Poppy, four, and Daisy, three.
"Jools wants four and at some point I will have to start working on that. But it won't be for a while 'cos of these two. One of them is quite easy, and one of them is quite hard - and they were born within 11 months.
"But we'll wait for a little bit. Maybe next year if it all works out.
"The kids are growing up now. Poppy says funny things like: 'Daddy why are this film crew here? Why are they following you?'
"They're at an age when they are aware of things around them. 'What are you doing on telly, daddy? What is your job?'
"And they've started taking the p*** out of me, which is funny."
The couple had difficulty conceiving their first daughter and she was conceived via IVF which Jools documented in her book, Minus Nine to One. Then, three months after Poppy was born, Daisy was conceived naturally.
Fatherhood has changed Jamie's priorities. The former workaholic tries to make family time his priority.
He says: "It has taken me a lot of years to get everything in my life into perspective. My gang make sure I have a family holiday in the summer. I have six weeks off a year.
"I have every weekend off like clockwork - Jools said that as soon as Poppy was born. And I see them for an hour in the morning.
"I think actually having kids made me rethink my life and prioritise the things that are important. I can leave all my work at the door - Jools doesn't know half the stuff I get up to. In a way I like it like that because when I get home I don't want to start talking about work. It's like a nice little world completely separate to my day job."
