The illegitimate daughter of Gavin Rossdale speaks out for the first time about her rocker father and Gwen Stefani in the September issue of W magazine, on stands tomorrow. Daisy Lowe, 17, was raised by her mom, fashion designer Pearl Lowe, and Pearl's longtime boyfriend, Supergrass drummer, Danny Goffey. Lowe, who thought Goffey was her dad until she was 15 (as did her mother) - tells W what she went through when it was revealed her real father was the former frontman for Bush. "It was a really weird time in my life," says Lowe. "I stopped going out and just sort of hid from it a lot. The press - they were absolutely horrible, just wankers." Rossdale, who was Daisy's godfather before he was identified as her father, hasn't become very close to his daughter. He and Lowe exchange e-mails occasionally. Lowe still considers Goffey her "dad." She told W, "I definitely don't call Gwen 'Stepmum.' "

Hmm... I have read before that it's Gwen who has driven a wedge between Gavin and his daughter and them really getting to know each other. That would be so sad, if it's true. Just seems the timing on this all is off - they get married, find out he already has a kid and suddenly she's pregnant...thisquick. I don't know...

ReplyDeleteI stand corrected. The photo was orignally reported as Daisy Lowe on Just Jared and when I re-checked his post I see he has updated it to clarify that he had misidentified the photo. I have updated with a correct photo of Daisy.
