Bruce Springsteen Denies Split Rumors

Bruce Springsteen is using the internet to deny rumors that he and wife Patti Scialfa have split up. The rumors started last week when the New York Post reported that they were on the rocks due to his relationship with a September 11 widow he had met at a charity event.

Springsteen posted the following message on his official website yesterday:

"Due to the unfounded and ugly rumors that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn't pass without comment," he wrote. "Patti and I have been together for 18 years — the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married."
