Madonna has paid out more than £2.4 million to the Kabbalah in just four years.
The 'Hung Up' singer donated the huge sum of money to the US based religion, an off-shoot of Judaism, with the cash going directly to the heads of the faith Philip and Karen Berg.
The massive donations have been revealed in the US tax records for Madonna's Ray of Light Foundation, which document every payment made by her to the Bergs since 2001.
Fox News TV reported Roger Friedman said: "The Bergs must have thought they had died and gone to heaven."
The Bergs have received a fortune in donations to the Kabbalah. Their 2004 tax return revealed the couple attributed around £11.5 million in assets to their New York based Kabbalah centre and charity.
Earlier this week, it was revealed Madonna is giving up the Kabbalah so her children can celebrate Christmas.
Friends of the 47-year-old star claim she is concerned her commitment to the faith has deprived her children, Lourdes and Rocco, from celebrating traditional holidays.
