Rita Wilson Looks to Brooke Shields for Stage Advice

TOM HANKS' wife RITA WILSON was so terrified about her upcoming appearance in the Broadway production of CHICAGO, she called on famous friend BROOKE SHIELDS for advice.

Wilson, who will take the role of murderess ROXIE HART next week (12JUN06), knew Shields would be the perfect mentor, having played the part in London's West End last year (05).

But she was amazed to discover the screen beauty was just as petrified when she first agreed to the demanding role.

She tells New York Post, "Brooke was so funny.

"I asked, 'What's it like having only three weeks to rehearse?' and she said, 'There were days I was standing on a corner hoping a taxicab would run me over so I could get out of doing it, and you will have those days, too.

Just know that they're coming, and they'll pass, and it will all be great.'".
