Details of Oliver Hudson's Wedding

Oliver Hudson married Erinn Bartlett in a sunset ceremony on the beach on June 9, 2006. The 6:30 p.m. nuptials were held in front of the One & Only Palmilla Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and were attended by approximately 70 friends and family members.

Hudson’s entire family was in attendance including Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, his sister Kate Hudson, her husband Chris Robinson and their son Ryder, 2. Brothers Boston Russell and Wyatt Russell were there as well as biological father Bill Hudson. Each member of the Hudson-Russell clan wore white with the exception of Goldie Hawn who opted for a sand colored strapless dress. All of the guests arrived barefoot to the ceremony and were given parasols and fans to fight the blazing heat.

The 30 minute ceremony was presided over by a Buddhist monk who stood under the altar made of large green bamboo poles wrapped in white curtains. Bartlett walked down the aisle to the sound of a 4 piece orchestra with a stand up bass. Dressed in a plunging white floor length gown by Les Habitudes, she carried a bouquet of white calla lillies and wore flat sandals that tied around the calf.

Bartlett’s only attendant was Adam Sandler’s wife, Jackie Titone, who carried a bouquet of white roses down the aisle as her husband looked on and took pictures with his digital camera. Hudson’s son Ryder was the ring bearer and was helped down the aisle by his mom before he handed off the ring to his uncle, Oliver.

Once the ceremony started, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson both reached for tissues which they used throughout. Goldie held hands throughout with Kurt Russell while Kate held Chris Robinson’s hand. Toward the end of the ceremony as Ryder was getting restless, Kate sat with him in the sand and played.

After pronouncing the couple husband and wife, champagne was passed around the beach as everyone congratulated the couple. After posing for pictures, the group moved to the Club 96 restaurant for the reception.
