Britney Spears posted a surprising message on her Web site on May 12. “I no longer study Kaballah. [sic] My baby is my religion,” reads the brief note featured on the “Love B” section of her site devoted to the singer’s stream of consciousness thoughts. Husband Kevin Federline was not mentioned in her post.
The singer hasn’t posted on her site in over a year. Strangly, Spears was spotted carrying a Kabbalah book while visiting a Taco Bell on May 5, 2006, just a week before the message appeared.
Spears has been studying the religion — often described as “Jewish mysticism” — since introduced to it by Madonna in 2003.
It’s probably for the best that Britney gives up Kabbalah, considering she didn’t know how to spell it.
