ABC's Elizabeth Vargas Expecting a Baby

In some happy news from ABC's World News Tonight, co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas is expecting her second child with her husband, singer-songwriter Marc Cohn, the network announced Friday.

Vargas, 43, co-anchors the broadcast with Bob Woodruff, 44, who was injured in roadside bombing in Iraqi on Jan. 29. He is recovering at Bethesda Medical Center in Maryland.

"I told Elizabeth that during such a difficult time for all of us, it's good to get such wonderful, life-affirming news," ABC News President David Westin said in a statement.

Vargas who also co-anchors 20/20, will continue to anchor both programs through late summer, according to the network.

Vargas and Cohn, who sings the hit song "Walking in Memphis," have a son, Zachary, 3. Cohn also has two children, Max, 14, and Emily, 11, from a previous marriage.
