Britney Spears Star of Art Exhibit

Britney Spears is the subject of a new 50-piece art show called “Just Britney,” which opened at a Hollywood gallery over the weekend.

"We reached out to a number of artists and found Britney is such a polarizing character these days," Steven Corfe, a co-curator of the show, tells Reuters.

"People absolutely adored her and wanted to celebrate her bubblegum, pop princess years. Or, they thought she was an irresponsible mother and wanted to play up the drug side of things," Corfe added. "The show reflects that whole spectrum."

"She personifies our obsession with celebrity culture, and it's an obsession that won't die down no matter how far she goes off the rail," Corfe said. "We love to put people up on a pillar and we love even more to shoot them down."

"Just Britney" runs through early October at Bailey's and Barbatos' World of Wonder art gallery in Hollywood.

I Know That She Says She's Not Pregnant....

I know that she says that she's not pregnant... but her fashion choices appear to say something else.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony kicked off their three-month concert tour over the weekend and there wasn't a belly baring outfit in sight.

There were however -- five loose fitting, bump hiding costume changes during the show.

Tori Spelling Hosts the Pussycat Dolls

Tori Spelling suited up and hosted the Pussycat Dolls show at the The Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas. In her myspace blog Tori writes about how liberating she found the entire experience.

She writes: "I've always had a secret passion to be a Pussycat Doll. Funny timing to be asked through... I just had my baby [Liam] 6 months ago.

"I was terrified of revealing my post baby body in that way. But, I've worked really hard to lose my baby weight and thanks to Nutrisystem I finally have.

"It's also a mental thing. I had to mentally, not just physically, prepare to show all of probably over 500 people my bod and be able to look and feel comfortable doing it. I'm a Mom now. Could I feel that sexy again?

Spelling conquered her insecurities and hit the stage on Saturday night.

"I explained [to the audience] how hard I've worked for my new body... and ripped off my dress to reveal a white and rhinestone bra and mini-skirt. I announced 'Own It!' The crowd went wild and I felt so liberated. It was an unbelievable moment for this new Mom!"

Past celebrity dolls have included Charlize Theron, Christina Applegate, Jessica Simpson, Denise Richards, and Christina Aguilera.

Ben Affleck Takes His Second Shot

Ben Affleck is getting ready to re-launch his career following a string of lackluster movies. He's hoping that his professional career will flourish the same way his personal life has over the past few years with wife Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet, almost 2. He's staking it all on his directing debut in Gone Baby Gone (which I've heard is fabulous).

In a revealing new interview in the November issue of Details magazine, the actor discusses his directorial debut, leaving Los Angeles, and the decisions he has made since Good Will Hunting came out in 1997.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On his film Gone Baby Gone:
“I feel like (Gone Baby Gone) is the linchpin for my life. My career. I have a lot riding on it. I want [the film] to work. Badly. I mean, a shitty movie comes out on 2,800 screens? I’ve been there and it’s embarrassing.”

On deciding to direct the film:“That’s why there’s something really great about directing-about having authorship over something. If you don’t like this movie, I’m the guy to see. I’m the guy to criticize. I take some measure of comfort in that. It’s fair, at least.”

On his directorial debut:“Listen, I’ve gone out and directed a movie and made it really f—king good. If the movie’s good, people will like it and go see it. All the rest of it is bullshit.”

On what’s at stake with his new film:“It’s pretty simple. If people don’t go see it – I’m f—ked.”

On dating Jennifer Lopez:
“It was probably bad for my career. What happens is this sort of bleed-over from the tabloids across your movie work. You go to a movie, you only go once. But the tabloids and Internet are everywhere. You can really subsume the public image of somebody. I ended up in an unfortunate crosshair position where I was in a relationship and [the media] mostly lied and inflated a bunch of salacious stuff for the sake of selling magazines. And I paid a certain price for that. Then, in concert with some movies that didn’t work…”

On living in L.A.:“I’d be surprised if I’m still living here in a couple of years. Professionally it would be difficult. But that’s not as important as that other thing.”

Paula Abdul Is Ready for Some Kids

Paul Abdul may be in her mid-40's, but the American Idol judge admits she wants to have a baby.

"That's the next step in my life," the 45-year-old tells USA Today. "Definitely within the next two years. I thought by now I'd have three grown children."

She does not see her age as a factor, given the advances in fertility medicine. "With modern medicine, people are having kids in their 40s and even up until their late 40s. In their 50s, they're having their second child," she says.

"If it doesn't happen naturally like that, I would always consider adopting."

She hopes that her boyfriend of 5-months, restaurateur J.T. Torregiani, is potential daddy material. "He's a sweetie pie," Abdul says. "He's a positive force that has come into my life right now. Where it leads, who knows?"
