Note from Emma
Sorry for the lack of posting last week. I had previously posted that my mother-in-law had been diagnosed with uterine cancer. Unfortunately, the type of cancer she has is very rare and tends to spread to other parts of the body.
We had thought that the cancer had stayed confined to the uterus and all of the lymph nodes in her abdomen were clean. At her 2-month scan, they found that the cancer had spread to her spine.
She and I spent the last week go to a wide variety of doctor's appointments and tests so posting screeched to a halt. We have a great doctor and a plan in place to deal with the latest diagnosis.
I will be trying to get back up to date on all of the latest news and gossip tonight.
Thanks!
Emma

Sharon Stone's Ex Gains Custody of Son
Sharon Stone's ex-husband Phil Bronstein has gained physical custody of their eight-year-old son Roan.According to court documents from a September 12, 2008 custody hearing, Bronstein was granted "permanent sole physical custody of child [Roan]. Court finds that respondent [Sharon Stone] failed to meet her burden of proof and denies respondent's [Sharon Stone's] request for modification of custody."
The documents go on to explain that Bronstein is able to "provide a more structured continuity, stable, secure and consistent home that Roan needs."
The judge ordered the change in custody to be permanent unless Stone moves closer to San Francisco where Bronstein and Roan will reside.
The couple had previously shared joint legal and physical custody of the child that they had adopted during their five-year marriage.
Stone retains custody of sons Laird and Quinn whom were adopted after her split from Bronstein.
Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Her GOOP
Ever wanted to know how a celebrity mom lives? Gwyneth Paltrow has launched a new website, Goop by Gwyneth Paltrow, which reveals some insight into the lifestyle of the celeb-mom."My life is good because I am not passive about it. I want to nourish what is real, and I want to do it without wasting time. I love to travel, to cook, to eat, to take care of my body and mind, to work hard. I love being a mother who has to overcome my bad qualities to be a good mother. I love being in spaces that are clean and nice," Paltrow writes on the home page.
She adds, "Make your life good. Invest in what's real. Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you've never been to. Learn something new. Don't be lazy. Workout and stick with it. GOOP. Make it great."
The site is broken out into several sections, which include "Make," "Go," "Get," "Do," "Be," and "See." Most of the sections are not live yet, but they will feature inspirational items by Paltrow.

Jennifer Lopez Talks About the Twins' Daily Routine
Jennifer Lopez is used to juggling a variety of tasks balancing her career as a singer, actress, designer, dancer and entrepreneur. Becoming a mother to twins Max and Emme earlier this year has added a new element to the balance of this busy multitasking mother.Until recently, Lopez and husband Marc Anthony have been happily taking care of the twins without any childcare help. The couple did finally add a nanny to the household to help balance out the daily routine.
"I did it for a long time but we started using a nanny a few weeks ago," says Lopez. "[Most days] I get up early with them. Then when the nanny comes, I can take a shower and give them their breakfast. She's there to help me get things done."
Even with the help, Lopez takes time to enjoy every moment with the twins -- and mornings are her favorite time together.
"When they see you and have that big smile on their face – I live for that," she says. "And when I put them to bed at night and they melt in your arms. I give them a bottle and wind it down. I say, 'It's time for beddy-bye.' I hold them and sing a little song. By the time you know it, they are asleep."
Lopez is starting to ease back into work and is trying to learn the balance for her family.
"It's gonna be a learning experience. How will I do both? I try to take breaks from work," she says. "I'll do a little work with the choreographers and then come back. I try to spend every free moment with the babies."

Eric Mabius and Ivy Sherman Negotiating Baby Names
Eric Mabius and wife Ivy Sherman are busy getting ready for their second child. The couple are currently in negotiations to select the baby's name."My wife wants a French name, but I don’t know. I’ll have to enroll him in karate right away if I give him a French name,” says the Ugly Betty star. "I was thinking Raphael with the p-h spelling. It’s a cool name. I guess he’ll be a painter or a sculptor or something.”
The new addition will join the couple's 2-year-old son Max.
