A former Beverly Hills party girl, Tori Spelling has been tamed to a small town domesticated mom. The new season on Tori and Dean: In Love finds the couple settling into their B&B with baby Liam. Rather than drinking champagne in the clubs, Tori can be seen serving it up to an inn full of guests.
"It doesn't taste like it used to," she says in her kitchen while preparing mimosas . "I don't know if it's the fact that I actually have to take care of someone, so you're careful about how much you actually drink."
She's even taken to growing her own herbs in the garden which she proudly shows off: "This is basil. We have rosemary, onion chives, Italian parsley … not doing well."
All this domestication comes following a few turbulent years that included a couple of marriages, a divorce, a baby, a falling out with her family, her father's death, and a reunion with her mom.
Today she says that she has put al the drama behind her since giving birth to Liam. Her mom, Candy, she says "has been really good with Liam. She has been holding him (and burping him), and she'll say, 'Look, it comes right back. … You never liked to be burped like this.' "
One thing you won't see is her mother and brother on camera. "I know that a lot of people want to see that, but I don't want to be selling out by putting my family (on TV)," says Spelling. "I'm taking time to cultivate that relationship and let it grow again."
This season will focus on Tori and Dean "trying to juggle a baby and guests at the same time."
The new season makes its debut on Oxygen tomorrow night.
